Before the streets of Da Nang had fully woken up, over 60 Tag members gathered together for one of the community’s most memorable events yet, a 21KM sunrise run from Da Nang to Hoi An.
More than just a long run, the Hoi An Retreat was created as an experience centred around movement, connection, and celebration, while also supporting the incredible work being done by Global Rehab Project to improve access to rehabilitation and healthcare services across underserved communities in Vietnam.

Chasing the Sunrise to Hoi An
Beginning in the early hours of the morning, runners made their way along Vietnam’s coastline as the sun slowly rose over the ocean, turning the route into both a physical challenge and a shared experience.
Along the way, the community was supported by replenishment stations hosted by Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa, Shilla Monogram Quangnam Danang, and Four Seasons Resort, helping runners reset, hydrate, and continue the journey together toward Hoi An.
While the event carried a relaxed and social atmosphere, the morning still saw plenty of personal bests achieved and milestones celebrated across the community.

Running for More Than Ourselves
The retreat also marked a special occasion for Coach Xander, with the 21KM route celebrating his 21st birthday surrounded by the very community built through Tag.
Throughout the event, members also supported Global Rehab Project through awareness initiatives and charity merchandise sales, helping contribute toward improving healthcare accessibility and rehabilitation support throughout Vietnam.
It was a reminder that movement has the power to bring people together not only socially, but for meaningful impact.

Recovery, Celebration & Connection
After arriving in Hoi An, the morning shifted from movement into recovery and celebration.
Fellow Tag member Jessica guided runners through a recovery stretch session before the group settled into the beachfront atmosphere at Silk Beach Club, recovering together with ocean swims, ice baths, music, food, and conversations reflecting on the journey they had just shared.
From first-time 21KM runners to experienced athletes, everyone finished the morning with the same feeling: accomplishment, connection, and community.
For Tag the Hoi An Retreat represented everything the community continues to stand for, moving with purpose, supporting one another, and creating experiences that extend far beyond the run itself.
