In the heart of Vietnam’s ancient capital, runners from across the country gathered to take part in the VnExpress Marathon Hue 2026, a race known not only for its challenge, but for the scenery and history woven throughout every kilometre.
This year, around 25 Tag members travelled together from Da Nang to Hue for a weekend built around movement, community, and shared experience.
Running Through the Ancient City
Unlike most city races, the VnExpress Marathon Hue offered something quieter and more reflective.
The course carried runners through the streets of Hue past historic landmarks, ancient architecture, temples, and the timeless scenery that gives the city its unique atmosphere.
Despite the humid conditions and sticky morning heat, the beauty of the route made every kilometre memorable.
From crossing bridges at sunrise to running through the heart of the city surrounded by history, the race became about far more than pace alone.
First Races & Personal Bests
This event was a particularly special one for the Tag. community.
For many newer members, this marked their very first official running event, a milestone moment shared alongside friends and teammates who had trained together in the lead-up.
Throughout the morning, the community celebrated countless personal victories, including multiple personal bests across the 10KM distance, alongside several members taking on the 21KM half marathon.
Whether chasing a PB or simply crossing the finish line for the first time, every runner brought their own story to the day.
More Than the Finish Line
After the race, the group gathered together once again, this time over shared breakfasts, coffee, and conversations reflecting on the morning’s efforts before making the trip back to Da Nang.
It’s these moments beyond the race itself that continue to shape what Tag is about.
Not just performance, but people.
Not just movement, but connection.
The VnExpress Marathon Hue 2026 was another reminder that some of the most meaningful runs aren’t always the fastest ones, they’re the ones shared together.
