I moved to Da Nang in September 2025 on my own, with no real plan beyond figuring it out. The first month was lonely plenty of nights questioning what I was actually doing here.
That’s where Tag Fitness came in.
My first session was 1st November 2025. I remember being apprehensive, half-expecting a run club to just be small talk about pace and PBs. I couldn’t have been more wrong. What I found instead was a group of people who turned a nervous first session into a proper community.
Elliot, Tag’s founder. gave me a random 20 year-old a shot he needed a coach for sessions and trusted me to lead people who’d come from all over the globe, all looking for the same thing: a shared interest and a sense of belonging in a new city. That trust gave me confidence, sharpened how I speak and lead a group, and honestly shaped the direction of the last year.

Since then I’ve taken on our Wednesday intervals run club for the first half of 2026, and been part of training blocks for the Da Nang International Marathon and the string of races that come through the city practically every other week. Early starts, hard sessions, a lot of shared miles but it’s the people who make it worth showing up for.
